Ticket Design wins the Presidential Award at Asia Star Awards 2017

Asian Packaging Federation (APF) Ordinary General Assembly hosted 16 member countries from Asian continent in Sri lanka, India between December 14-17 for Asia Star awards. In this competition, Tamper Evident Packaging Design for BASF by Ticket Design, India received the highest President’s Medal Award across all 250 entries evaluated from Asia.

Asian Packaging Federation
 is a non-profit organisation established in Tokyo, Japan in 1967 Its aim is to unite the packaging interests of all trade and industries in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond under one co-operative umbrella. The Asian packaging federation (APF) was formed in 1967 to facilitate the international cooperation of packaging organisations amongst its member countries include Japan, , China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, Iran, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Within the framework of Asian Packaging Federation 42nd Ordinary General Assembly and 67th Executive Board Meetings organized by Asian Packaging Federation (APF), bringing the Asian representatives of packaging together, Asia Star 2017 Award Ceremony was conducted in Srilanka. Best packages of the continent were chosen by an eminent jury comprised of leaders of packaging in Asia.

Crop Protection Packaging BASF

BASF manufactures crop protection products for use in farms for agriculture purposes. The winning product addresses a nagging challenge of identifying an untampered product and reassuring farmers on their choices. A tamper evident Cross Seal mechanism has been designed to solve this problem. Our aim for the packaging has been to empower and help farmers choose a genuine product without any confusion.

Illiteracy is high, direct communication through product design works. We found that farmers often face a challenge knowing if a new bottle has been tampered or not. This was a latent need tapped & converted into a tamper evident packaging. New proprietary bottle shape with a identifiable crowned an integrated measuring cap also separated the leader from the ‘also ran’ in the market.
